Mimosa Season: the Mimosa Road, Tanneron & the Fête du Mimosa in Mandelieu

The hills turn yellow from late January: the Mimosa Road above Mandelieu, the Tanneron forest, and the flower parade of the Fête du Mimosa.

Overview

From late January to early March, the hills between Cannes and the Estérel are covered with mimosa, the golden tree brought from Australia in the 19th century and now the emblem of the western Riviera. This full day with Pacôme follows the Mimosa Road: the forest of Tanneron, the largest mimosa forest in Europe, a mimosa grower's domain, the château and the bay of Mandelieu-la-Napoule, and Cannes in its quiet winter light.

During the Fête du Mimosa, from 10 to 14 February 2027 on the theme "Le mimosa entre en jeu", the day can be planned around the flower parade of Mandelieu. Outside those dates, the forest alone is worth the journey, and the day stays yours: a long lunch facing the sea, the Estérel red rocks, or the old town of Cannes.
