These terms govern the private guiding services provided by Experience by Pacôme.

Experience by Pacôme is a sole proprietorship (entreprise individuelle) registered in France under SIREN 831 938 485. The service is operated by a state-licensed government tourist guide (guide-conférencier), based in Nice, France.
Experience by Pacôme provides private, bespoke cultural guiding services on the French Riviera, including private guided tours (half-day, full-day and multi-day), tailor-made itineraries, and cultural and historical interpretation services.
Unless stated otherwise on the relevant experience page, transportation is included: a complimentary all-electric vehicle for up to 3 guests (public parking fees excluded, see Article 8), or, beyond 3 guests, a Mercedes V-Class van with a professional driver provided through the guide's partner (up to 6 guests, 6 cabin bags and 6 checked bags per van), at a fixed price per van of €525 for a half day and €750 for a full day, the shore excursion or each full day of a multi-day experience, billed separately by the partner, with no parking fee. Half-day experiences cover up to 4 hours door to door, transport time included, and full-day experiences 8 hours; a single-city visit of 1 to 4 hours, at the client's discretion and at the same price, is provided at the half-day rate. The specific make, model or ownership status of the vehicle provided (owned or rented) may vary and be substituted for operational, availability, maintenance or other reasons, without affecting the scope of the service booked.
Unless agreed otherwise in writing, the standard duration of each format is as follows: a half day lasts up to 4 hours, transport time included, usually 9 AM to 1 PM or 2 PM to 6 PM, and also covers a single-city visit of 1 to 4 hours, at the client's discretion and at the same price; a full day lasts 8 hours, usually 10 AM to 6 PM; and the shore excursion from Villefranche lasts approximately 7 hours, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The guide and, where applicable, the vehicle are at the client's disposal for that duration. This duration is door to door: it includes the time needed for the guide to return to the pick-up point once the visit ends. If the drop-off location is different from the pick-up location, part of the reserved time is used for the guide's return journey, and a return fee may apply as described in Section 8.
Multi-day journeys combine these formats: 1.5 days consists of one full day and one half day, that is 12 hours in total; 2.5 days consists of two full days and one half day, that is 20 hours; and 3.5 days consists of three full days and one half day, that is 28 hours. Outside these hours, in particular during evenings and nights, the guide and the vehicle are not at the client's disposal. Start and end times may be adjusted by mutual agreement without changing the total number of hours booked. Any time beyond the agreed duration is governed by section 7.
Bespoke experiences (yacht day, vintage or luxury car, horseback ride, meetings with gallerists and artists, private gardens, villa stays) are arranged by Experience by Pacôme as an introducer only: each partner service is subject to the partner's availability, is quoted on request and is contracted and invoiced directly by the partner under its own conditions; Experience by Pacôme invoices only its guiding time at the rates in Article 4. Optional on-site supplements billed per person (perfume workshop, lemon tasting in Menton, €25 per person) are paid directly on site and are not part of the price per group.
A booking is considered confirmed only after full payment has been received, or payment has been validated via a hotel or concierge agreement. The provider reserves the right to refuse or cancel any booking prior to confirmation.
All prices are expressed in euros (€) and correspond to the private guiding service for the group as a whole, not per person. Groups above 15 guests (up to a maximum of 30) are quoted at double the base rate for that experience.
Major events: during the Cannes Film Festival and the Monaco Grand Prix (for 2027, from 11 to 22 May and from 3 to 6 June), demand is exceptional and specific rates apply. Online booking is closed on these dates and experiences are quoted on request, by WhatsApp or email, with the price confirmed in writing before booking.
Tailor-made experiences: when a request calls for significant organisation or outside services (for example restaurant or venue bookings, tickets, or partner services such as a yacht, a chauffeur or a private workshop), the price may exceed the standard rates (€450 for a half day, €750 for a full day, and their combinations for multi-day experiences), to reflect the additional organisation time and, where applicable, the outside services included. A personalised quote is then sent to the client, and the final price is always confirmed in writing before the booking is confirmed.
Unless otherwise specified, prices do not include entrance fees (museums, gardens, monuments, etc.), optional add-ons (such as the perfume-making workshop), or meals, drinks and personal expenses. These additional costs are payable directly on-site by the client.
Payment can be made by bank transfer (preferred), by secure online payment link, or in cash, as well as through hotel billing or a concierge arrangement where applicable. Bank details are provided with the booking confirmation. Full payment is required prior to the experience unless otherwise agreed; a cash payment agreed in advance is made at the latest at the start of the experience.
Cancellation more than 7 days before the scheduled service: full refund, excluding payment processing and currency conversion fees, if applicable. Cancellation within 7 days of the scheduled service: 50% of the total amount is retained. Cancellation within 48 hours of the scheduled service: no refund (100% of the total amount is retained).
Any modification request is subject to availability and may incur additional charges.
Tailor-made experiences: when a booking includes specific requests that require dedicated arrangements (for example reservations, tickets or partner services organised on the client's behalf), and this is stated in the booking confirmation, the following conditions apply instead of the above. Cancellation more than 7 days before the scheduled service: 25% of the total amount is non-refundable and the balance is refunded, excluding payment processing and currency conversion fees, if applicable. Cancellation between 7 days and 72 hours before the scheduled service: 50% of the total amount is retained. Cancellation within 72 hours of the scheduled service: no refund (100% of the total amount is retained).
Cancellation by the provider: should the provider be unable to deliver the experience (for example due to illness or an emergency), the client will first be offered an alternative date. If no suitable date can be found together, the booking is refunded in full (100%), including payment processing fees.
Right of withdrawal: in accordance with Article L221-28 12° of the French Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services provided on a specific date or during a specific period, which is the case for every experience. Cancellations are governed exclusively by this article.
The duration of the experience is defined at the time of booking. If the service exceeds the scheduled duration, additional time will be charged at €120/hour. Delays caused by the client may result in a shortened experience without refund.
For all half-day, full-day and multi-day experiences, pick-up and drop-off are included at the agreed location, typically the client's hotel, Airbnb, or a central meeting point in Nice. Any alternative location may incur an additional fee. In particular, when the drop-off location is different from the pick-up location, a return fee of €90 applies to cover the guide's journey back to Nice.
Half-day experiences are provided at a flat rate for up to 4 hours door to door, transport time included; a single-city visit of 1 to 4 hours, at the client's discretion and at the same price, is provided at the same rate and under the same conditions, pick-up and vehicle included.
Transportation in the guide's vehicle is provided free of charge. The public parking fees incurred during the experience are charged to the client at a flat rate of €50 per group and per day started, on every experience: a half day or a single-city visit counts one day, a full day or the shore excursion one day, and multi-day experiences every day started (two for 1.5 days, three for 2.5 days, four for 3.5 days). These fees are shown on the experience page, included in the online payment link (or settled with the guide when the booking is made by message) and stated in the booking confirmation. They do not apply when the client opts for the chauffeur-driven van provided through the guide's partner.
Where transportation for a booking is arranged through a third party, Experience by Pacôme is not responsible for that third party's services.
Clients are responsible for arriving on time, providing accurate booking information, and ensuring appropriate physical condition for walking tours. For safety reasons, the guide reserves the right to adapt or modify the itinerary if necessary.
Experience by Pacôme is bound by a best-effort obligation ("obligation de moyens"). The provider shall not be held liable for delays or disruptions beyond its control (traffic, weather, strikes, etc.), the closure of sites or monuments, or the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings. Participation in tours is at the client's own risk.
Certain experiences (including those featuring a river visit) include free time during which guests may, where legally permitted and conditions allow, choose to swim. Swimming is entirely optional and is never supervised, instructed or guided by Pacôme. Guests who choose to enter the water do so independently and are solely responsible for their own decision to do so, and must comply with all local regulations, posted signage and safety instructions. Pacôme does not supervise or control participants during this free time and cannot be held responsible for any incident, injury, loss or damage arising from a guest's actions or decisions during such activities, except where liability cannot legally be excluded. Pacôme's professional insurance covers the guided walks (city and nature) but does not cover personal swimming or other recreational activities in the water and/or during free time. Guests are strongly advised to hold appropriate personal accident and/or travel insurance covering such activities. Before booking an experience that includes optional swimming, guests must read and accept this clause via the dedicated notice presented at the time of booking.
The provider shall not be held liable in the event of force majeure, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or strikes and transport disruptions. In such cases, services may be rescheduled or refunded at the provider's discretion.
All content, itineraries, and materials provided remain the intellectual property of Experience by Pacôme and may not be reproduced or used commercially without prior consent.
The provider treats the identity of its clients, their itineraries, their preferences and any information shared during a booking or an experience as strictly confidential. Nothing is published, shared or used for promotional purposes without the client's express consent. Discreet pick-up arrangements can be made on request.
The website uses a Google Ads tag with consent set to "denied" by default: no advertising cookie is stored and no identifier is kept; Google only receives anonymous signals used to count enquiries that follow an advertisement. The website's own audience measurement stores no cookie and no IP address either.
These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, parties will seek an amicable resolution before any legal action. Failing agreement, disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the French courts.
